From Friday to Sunday

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“They will flog Him and kill Him; and on the third day He will rise again.”
(Luke 18:33, AMP)
TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria
Every year all over the world, people honor Good Friday as the day Jesus was crucified. It was the darkest, most painful, discouraging day of His life. To others, it looked as if it was over. It looked as if His enemies had gotten the best of Him. But God had other plans. Jesus’ enemies put Him in the grave on Friday, celebrating their victory, but Sunday morning was a different story. The grave could not hold Him. Death couldn’t contain Him. The forces of darkness couldn’t stop Him. On the third day, Jesus came out of the grave and said, “I was dead, but now I am alive forevermore.”
One principle that the resurrection teaches us is that God will always finish what He started. No matter how dark it looks, no matter how long it’s been, no matter how many people are trying to push you down; if you will stay in faith, God will always take you from Friday to Sunday. You will see your day of breakthrough because God will complete what He started.
If you are going through a dark time today, remember that your day of resurrection, your “Sunday,” is on the way! Keep standing, keep believing because soon you will rise up and embrace the victory He has in store for you!
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, thank You for Your resurrection power that is alive in me. I choose to keep my eyes on You, the Author and Finisher of my faith. Thank You that no matter how dark it looks, my day of breakthrough is on its way in Jesus’ name! Amen!

Same Spirit, Same Power

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“And if the Spirit of Him Who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, [then] He Who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also restore to life your mortal (short-lived, perishable) bodies through His Spirit Who dwells in you.”
(Romans 8:11, AMP)
TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria
When you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, the Bible tells us that the Holy Spirit makes His home inside of you. That’s the same Spirit, the same power that raised Jesus from the dead. That resurrection power can bring back health, strength and life to your physical body and life to your hopes and dreams. In fact, it can bring life to any area that may seem dormant on the inside of you.
The next time you feel overwhelmed by sickness, challenges or despair, remember, the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in you. You may have been burdened by an addiction, fear or worry, but there’s nothing that can stand against the power of God. Rise up and declare by faith, “He whom the Son sets free is free indeed. I am restored and healed in the name of Jesus!” As you rise up in faith and declare the Word of God, you are activating His power within you — the same power that raised Jesus from the dead!
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, thank You for filling me with Your power by the Holy Spirit. I choose to feed my faith by declaring Your Word over my life so that I can partake of the life You have prepared for me in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Resurrection Power

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“...He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen...”
(Matthew 28:6, NLT)
TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria
We have a reason to celebrate life every single day because the God we serve is alive. His resurrection power didn’t end on the cross 2000 years ago; His power is still at work today. Not only did He resurrect Jesus from the dead, but He wants to extend His resurrection power into every single area of your life, too.
Maybe you have a dream to get out of debt, pay off your house or be free from a burden of lack, but it looks impossible. Business is slow. The economy is down. You’ve gone as far as your education allows. But God is saying, “I’m not limited by those things. I’ve got resurrection power. I can give you one break that will thrust you to a new level. I can open up doors that no man can shut. I can bring talent out of you that you didn’t know you had. I can cause people to go out of their way to want to be good to you for no reason.”
Today, get your hopes up. Get your expectancy up. Remember, He is risen, and He is alive. There’s a shift coming, and He is faithful to His Word. Let His resurrection power flow in every area of your life!
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, thank You for Your resurrection power at work in my life. Today, I give You my broken dreams, disappointments, failures and setbacks, and I trust that You will breathe Your life into me. I trust that You have a good plan for my future, and You are leading me into total victory in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Receive His Power

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
(1 Corinthians 15:57, NLT)
TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria
This weekend, we will be celebrating Easter, the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. So much happened at Calvary’s cross over two thousand years ago; but ultimately, Jesus overcame sin and death so that we can have abundant life in Him. Because of Jesus, we can have victory over anything that would try to hold us back!
No matter what bondage, stronghold, sin or addiction has held you captive in the past, when you acknowledge Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, you receive His power — His burden-moving, yoke-destroying anointing. Sin can’t hold you back because who the Son sets free, is free indeed! (See John 8:36.) It all starts by believing and receiving this promise. Then, as you meditate on His Word and draw close to Him, more of His power becomes alive in you.
Today, if you’ve never made Jesus the Lord of your life, I can think of no better time than now to do it.Click this link for more information. Receive His truth and life and celebrate true, eternal victory!
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me victory! Thank You for Your Word which is life and healing water to my soul. I choose to set my heart and thoughts on You, knowing that You are empowering me to overcome in every area of my life in Jesus’ name! Amen.

At Any Moment

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“Behold, I make a covenant. Before all your people I will do marvels such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation; and all the people among whom you are shall see the work of the LORD. For it is an awesome thing that I will do with you.”
(Exodus 34:10, NKJV)
TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria
God said, “I’m going to do great things that I have never done before anywhere on earth. People will see what great things I can do because I’m going to do something awesome for you.” Now when God uses the word “awesome,” He is not talking about a trickle, a stream or a river of power. He is talking about a flood of favor, a flood of ideas, a flood of healing. It may not look like it in the natural right now; but remember, you’re under a Flash Flood Warning. Any moment, the heavens could open up. Any moment, you could meet the right person. Any moment, God could do something awesome, something that you’ve never seen before in your life.
Now the real question is will you let this seed take root? Every voice will tell you why this is not for you, but God wants to do something amazing in your life. Why don’t you get into agreement with Him and say, “God, this is for me today. I’m raising my expectations. I’m shaking off doubt, negativity, disappointment, self-pity, little dreams and little goals. God, I’m going to make room for a flood of Your goodness!”
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, I believe that You want to do something amazing in my life. I surrender my thoughts, words and attitudes to You. Have Your way in me and overwhelm me with Your goodness in Jesus’ name! Amen.

When God Opens the Floodgates

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“And He led them on safely, so that they did not fear; but the sea overwhelmed their enemies.”
(Psalm 78:53, NKJV)
TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria
Nothing can stop the force of mighty rushing water. Three or four feet of water can pick up a car that weighs thousands of pounds and move it all around. You’ve probably seen news reports where whole houses are being swept away during a huge flood or cities in a tidal wave.
In the same way, you may have obstacles that look insurmountable; dreams that look unattainable, but let me encourage you: when God releases a flood of His power, nothing will be able to stop you. That sickness may look big, but when God releases a flood of healing, it doesn’t stand a chance. Your opposition may be stronger, better financed and better equipped; but when God opens up the floodgates, they’ll be no match for you.
You may not have the connections or resources you need, but when God releases a flood of favor, people will come out of the woodwork to help you out. Good breaks, opportunity, the right people will search you out. You need to get ready not for a trickle, not a stream, not a river, but a flood of God’s favor, a tidal wave of God’s goodness, a tsunami of His increase is coming your way!
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, thank You for Your mighty power at work in my life. I believe that Your floodgates are open, and a flood of Your goodness is wiping out my enemies and clearing the way for victory in every area of my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.

A Flood of Victory

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“...‘God has broken through my enemies by my hand like a breakthrough of water.’ ”
(1 Chronicles 14:11, NKJV)
TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria
In First Chronicles, David was facing an impossible situation. He and his men were up against a huge army of Philistines. This was a different time than when he faced Goliath. His army of men was greatly outnumbered. In the natural, they didn’t have a chance. But God gave David the promise that He would go with them, and they would defeat this army.
David went out and did just that. God gave them the victory. David was so overwhelmed with God’s goodness that he tried to describe it. He said, “God has broken through to my enemies like the breaking forth of water.” One translation says, “Like a raging flood.” Notice, David likened God’s power to a flood. He was saying, “When God shows up, it’s going to be like a flood of favor, a flood of strength, a flood of good breaks.”
Today, remember; what God did for David, He will do for you. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Your part is to keep believing, keep trusting, keep obeying and keep thanking Him. Trust that He will direct your steps and overwhelm you with favor and victory all the days of your life.
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, thank You for the flood of victory that is headed my way. I trust that You are the One who will silence my enemies. I set my hope and love on You today and look for Your goodness in Jesus’ name. Amen.
